ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Do you enjoy analyzing numbers and data to discover what story they're telling? We are looking for an enterprising Accounting Manager to join our team!
In this position, you'll have the exciting opportunity to develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information in addition to managing day-to-day accounting activities. You'll not only drive our accounting strategy, but becoming a part of our team means you'll also be able to see how your work directly impacts our company as a whole.
The ideal candidate can dedicate 10 hours a week to work either remotely or in-office, and is based in Charleston, SC.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
Oversee accounting daily operations
Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc
Monitor and analyze accounting data
Set up and monitor accounting KPIs
Regularly produce financial reports or statements
Adhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principles
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
At least 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager
Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases - Xero, Gsuite proficiency a plus
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Exceptional time-management skills
BS degree in Accounting or Finance
